Otter Borealis Glasses

This is a trio of drinking glasses, all with the same design, I did based on my Otter Borealis painting(which you can see in my gallery). These were the last glass creations I was able to make before leaving Yellowknife. The glasses are made from recycled wine bottles, courtesy of the Yellowknife Glass Recyclers, where I formerly worked. I've already given one to a friend, and I'm planning on selling the other 2.

I used the main otter from my painting because of the dynamic movement and twist in its body. And of course, I chose blue glasses to stay true to the painting. I wanted to make glasses of the other 2 otters, but I didn't have the time to complete the stencils. The whole process of editing the stencil drawing on the computer, and then cutting it out, took much longer than expected. Still, it was worth the effort and time. The glasses were already pre-cut, grounded and polished, but I did the stenciling.
